We have designed and developed a comprehensive curriculum which will focus on defensive shooting when cold weather will compromise your fine motor skills, ability to move effectively and access your tools while fighting your way through layers of clothing. In order to amp up the stress we have taken this training a step further and will be running this class in a “force on force” format utilizing airsoft weapons to allow us to run actual stress-based scenarios in which we will be engaging real targets as opposed to static. This carries with it the unpredictability of a dynamic environment in which anything can happen and the ability to observe, assess and respond quickly are critical.
There is no prerequisite for this class.
Ammunition Requirements: 250 rounds of airsoft ammo
Gear: Reliable airsoft pistol (gas operated recommended) and a holster made specifically for that pistol and designed to be worn on the belt (nylon not recommended), two magazines, magazine holders, belt, clear wrap-around ballistic eye protection, clothing appropriate for climate and conditions including boots, gloves, hat. Water bottle or other hydration system and lunch. Bring a garment appropriate to train from concealment assuming cold weather regardless of actual weather. You may also choose to bring a folding camp chair for breaks.
